Do I need specific vaccinations for Chile? |
|
No, Chile does not require any specific vaccinations. If you are crossing the border coming from a malaria affected country, you have to prove your malaria vaccination. All standard immunizations (for example tetanus and hepatitis A+B) are strongly recommended though. Please check with your family doctor on time! Chile has a very efficient medical system and a lot of well equipped hospitals throughout the country. As all medical expenses (doctor and hospital) can be high and have to be paid in cash, it is highly recommended to have foreign health insurance.
