YOUR WORKPLACE

This is your opportunity to broaden your knowledge of international business. This international food distributor company is based in Santiago de Chile and has operated for over ten years in the Cerrillos district. The company has 30 employees and is looking for an intern to support the import department. The company is engaged in the production and distribution of food products like dry spices and herbs, but also accompanies and advises their business partners on products that begin as an idea to their initial launch on the market in terms of market analysis and its development within the culinary concept, amongst other things.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

You will primarily assist the team by carrying out the following tasks:

• Manage the imports of primary ingredients from around the world like India, China, Germany, Spain and Australia
• Carry out the process of placing orders until the arrival of products and managing their costs
• Support sales of finished products in Latin America by quoting costs of products, contacting wholesalers, taking records, and making free trade agreements
• Help project an estimation of imports for the following year

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in English and Spanish
• Organizational and administrative skills
• Ability to work with a multicultural team
• International business or related studies
