Your Workplace

Are you open-minded and communicative? Do you enjoy working with handicapped children and teenagers? Then, this internship at a private social institution is just right for you! Your workplace is situated in the district of La Florida within the capital Santiago de Chile and deals primarily with the education and rehabilitation of mentally and physically handicapped young people. Santiago is Chile’s most important economic and cultural center and offers a wide range of universities, museums and historical monuments. Surrounded by the summits of the Andes mountain range and the river Rio Mapocho, Santiago with its six million inhabitants provides the perfect place for a unique and unforgettable internship.

Your Responsibilities

The small team works within a familial atmosphere. You assist them mainly in the following projects:

  • rehabilitation
  • support especially in the area of education
  • financial management

Your Requirements

  • proficiency in Spanish
  • studies in kinesiology, logopedia, occupational therapy, social pedagogy or similar
  • availability for 5 months (at least 3 months) starting from now
  • interest in working for 2-3 days/week for 4-5 hours/day
  • experience in working with handicapped people preferable
