Your Workplace

Do you enjoy working with handicapped children and teenagers and are you also interested in horses? Then, we have the perfect internship for you! A rehabilitation center specialized on horse therapy for the healing of handicapped children needs support for its team in Santiago de Chile. The center works primarily with physically and mentally disabled children as well as families of deprived areas. Furthermore, their offers include horse riding lessons for kids and different tourist activities (tours to the mountains, horse riding excursions, etc.). Your workplace is located in the district of Lo Barnechea in the capital Santiago de Chile. Surrounded by the summit of the Andes and the river Río Mapocho, the metropolis offers the ideal place for your unforgettable internship.

Your Responsibilities

You support the team of the rehabilitation center in the touristy, therapeutic and educational area:

  • taking care of kids and teenagers
  • supporting teachers in giving lessons in horseback riding
  • assistance and attendance of riding tours
  • caring and supervision of horses
  • support of general maintenance and cleaning duties

Your Requirements

  • age between 21 and 32 years
  • English and Spanish language skills
  • ideally majoring in medicine, veterinary medicine or tourism
  • availability for at least 1 month, ideally for 3 months
  • enjoy working with horses and in the country
  • friendly appearance
  • proactive
