Your Workplace

The city of Puerto Varas is located directly on the edge of Lago Llanquihue, one of the biggest lakes in Chile, with a beautiful view of the Osorno, Calbuco and Tronador volcanoes. It is a popular starting point for trips across the region. In the small but lively center you can find bars, restaurants, lots of travel agencies, some exchange offices, two big supermarkets and plenty of handcraft shops. Puerto Varas is also known as the “city of the roses” because of its abundance of roses surrounding the town.
The colorful timber house where you will work is located downtown, just a few minutes away from the lake. The company offers accommodation and organized tours involving trekking, rafting, horse backriding, kayaking and canyoning.

Your Responsibilities

During your stay you will be responsible for welcoming, informing and taking care of the guests. In addition you will answer inquiries via phone and e-mail.

Requirements

  • Between 21 and 35 years of age
  • Experience or studies related to tourism or the hotel sector
  • Good languages skills in Spanish and English and hopefully in French and/or German
  • Motivated to work five days per week (7 hours/day)
  • Must be dynamic and enjoy dealing with international guests
  • Immediate availability for at least one month (ideally longer)
