Extracurricular ActivitiesIn the afternoons after classes and on the weekends, the language school regularly organizes extracurricular activities for a small additional cost allowing students to go to new places in or out of the city, get to know other students as well as learn about the Chilean culture. These excursions and cultural activities also give the students a chance to apply their acquired language skills outside of the classroom. Especially popular excursions include day trips to Viña del Mar, Valparaíso and to Pablo Neruda's house in Isla Negra on the Pacific Coast. Also hiking trips, skiing tours and wine tastings are enjoyed by many of the students. Free afternoon activities take place directly in the language school almost every day. These include watching movies followed by discussions as well as conversation classes.
Part-time volunteer work: For our Spanish students, we have created a new program that combines the Spanish course with volunteer work. The program consists of a Spanish Course (Group Course or Private Course) in the mornings and then volunteering two to four afternoons per week. This allows you to practice your newly acquired Spanish skills in real life situations and put your free time to use for a good cause helping where assistance is most needed. |
