The capital of Chile is an amazing city and one of the few metropolises in the world where one can actually ask the question: "Today to the sea and tomorrow skiing, or rather the other way around?" From Santiago de Chile you can reach beautiful sandy beaches on the Pacific coast like world-class ski slopes (and summer trekking routes) in the Andes Mountains. Santiago de Chile is almost exactly in the middle of the country and divides Chile into the fertile south and the dry north.
And the city itself offers something for every taste: you will find beautiful places to relax, old colonial buildings and a lively city culture with museums, street artists, theaters and much more; small craft markets and green meadows, countless restaurants and pubs and a diverse nightlife. And above all lies the flair of an up and coming metropolis that perfectly combines the characteristics of a modern capital with those of a historic city.
Here in Santiago, the heart of Chile's economy beats and about a third of Chileans live in the country’s capital. The Santiaguinos are usually friendly and helpful people and as a foreigner you can quickly connect. Santiago is also home to numerous universities, which has led to a lively international student life, especially in the last two decades.
Our Spanish school in Santiago de Chile is located in the beautiful district of Providencia in the popular art and entertainment district "Bellavista", just to the feet of Santiago’s hill "Cerro San Cristobal" and South America's largest innercity park. The language school is very well connected to the public transportation network, subway and bus stops are just a few steps away. Bellavista is a popular nightlife area with many bars, cafes, restaurants and small shops, as well as museums and theaters.
Our language school looks back on more than 30 years of successful teaching experience and convinces through international standards and the high quality of their language courses. In the colorful and cozy schoolhouse, there are 12 classrooms that can accommodate more than 70 students. There is also a computer room with free internet access and common areas. During the breaks, students can relax with drinks and cookies, always a great moment to know each other better. The language students themselves come from all over the world, so you can look forward to an internationally colorful, interesting atmosphere.
In addition to classes, our Spanish school offers free afternoon programs, such as movie afternoons where Chilean films are viewed and then discussed. Dance and cooking classes, where you can learn a lot about Latino culture and Chilean cuisine, are particularly popular. You can also take part in conversation exercises and a workshop on the Chilean dialect.
Also on the weekends, the Spanish school organizes regular recreational activities, where you can get to know the country and its people acompanied by other Spanish students. By the way, on such excursions, you can also train the Spanish skills that you have acquired during your language course. Particularly popular are the tours to the Pacific coast to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar and the visit of the amazing house of the Chilean Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda in Isla Negra. But hiking and rafting trips in the Andes or ski trips during winter tim, as well as wine tasting tours, also enjoy great popularity.
